+ Birthday Parties

How much is the private room?

The private room is priced in conjunction with the Jr. Academy ($17.50 pp) and Academy ($19.50 pp) Birthday Party options. Both options require a minimum of 20 guests.

What are my food options?

The birthday party package options are: hot dogs, pizza, taco bar, pasta bar, burger bar and sub station. Other menu options are also available including options for the adults attending the birthday party.

What does the theatre supply?

The theatres supply staffing, set-up, clean-up, all cups, plates, eating utensils, napkins and table covers. Party favors/gift bags are also available for an additional charge.

What are my movie choices?

Any movie showing at the theatre is accessible to you and your guests.

What times can I have a birthday party?

12:45 pm and 2:45 pm for premier movie releases – other Birthday party times are coordinated based upon availability. Please call Uptown Entertainment Booking office (248) 723-6234 for details.

Are there any other options besides the birthday party room?

Celebrate birthdays at the movies with Uptown Entertainment Party Pack. 10 or more children for only $10.50 each and the birthday child is free! Children 12 & under please. Includes movie admission tickets and Kid’s Pack (small drink, popcorn and small candy).

+ Senior Luncheon

What is the upcoming Senior Luncheon movie?

The movie selection is determined one month in advance and is posted on the web-site. Contact our booking office at (248) 723-6234 to be added to a monthly notification list.

What is on the menu?

Menu changes monthly.

What is the cost?

$16.75 per person – This price includes a $7 movie admission ticket with a lunch buffet, dessert, pop and popcorn, Individuals or groups are welcome.

What is the date and time?

The Senior Luncheon is available every 3rd Tuesday of each month. Lunch Buffett begins at 11:30 am with the movie beginning at 1:00 PM. Please call 248-723-6234 for reservations.

+ School Groups

What qualifies a school group?

Any school purchasing tickets with a minimum of 50 students.

What is the price?

$5.75 per student.

What time can my school group come?

Show times vary between 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM before the theatre opens.

Will concessions be opened /closed?

Concessions can be open for general purchase or closed based upon request.

Can we pre purchase concessions?

Yes, concession items may be pre-purchased and set up “Grab & Go” style for students.

+ Donations

How can I make a Donation?

Since establishment Uptown Entertainment has been a proud active participant in the communities we serve. 

  • All requests must be made no later than 30 days prior of the event.

 

  • Letter of request must include:
    • Description of Request (if the donation requested is for an event, describe the event and include: date, location, and expected attendance).
    • How will your organization recognize Uptown Entertainment’s support?
    • When donation is needed?
    • Contact name and phone number

All donation requests must be mailed, emailed, faxed or dropped off.
* All donations must be in writing.  
* No cash donations will be provided.

Due to the numerous requests, an Uptown Entertainment representative will contact you should your request be approved.

 

+ Corporate/Social and Private Events

What does the rental include?

A guest/client rents the particular theatre for use up to three hours. In-house movies may be shown free of charge. Other movies and presentations are subject to additional pricing.

What size theatres do you have?

Between the three theatres, 50 – 370 seats theatres.

Where can I rent a theatre?

Theatre rentals are available at all our theatres - The Palladium 12, Birmingham 8 Theatres in Birmingham or the Ren Cen 4 Theatre located in the GM Renaissance Building in downtown Detroit.

What are my food options?

Uptown Entertainment offers many food, beverage, alcohol service package options. The expert event planning staff and on-site Chef, Ian Forrest, will assist in planning a memorable event. Our experts will take care of every aspect of event planning including linens, flowers, themed rentals, AV needs, power point presentations, etc. Uptown Entertainment will also tailor a customized menu to fit event needs. Can I bring in Food & Beverage?

No outside food or beverage of any type is allowed.

Is there alcohol available?

Alcohol service is available at all theatres for private events. Please call (248) 723-6238 for details.

What are my movie choices?

Any in-house movie playing is available. 3D movie are subject to theatre restrictions and additional charges.

My event is at the Palladium 12 but the movie I want to see is playing at the Birmingham 8, can you show the movie at the Palladium 12?

This is possible in most cases.
